Image Resizer & Converter
Resize and convert many images locally by max size, percentage or exact dimensions, then download them individually or as one ZIP.
- Three ways to set the size – Max size with aspect ratio, percentage, or exact dimensions
- JPG, PNG and WebP conversion – Choose format and quality; transparent PNGs get a white background in JPEG
- Up to 50 files at once – Convert with the same settings and compare before and after
Change image size and format
Change the width, height and file type (JPG, PNG, WebP) of many photos at once.
Three ways to set the size
"Max size" keeps the aspect ratio and fits the image inside the width and height you give; it never enlarges an image that is already smaller. "Percentage" scales from 1 to 500% of the original. "Exact size" ignores the aspect ratio, so the image is stretched or squeezed if the ratio differs from the original.
If file size is the goal, use the compressor
Use this tool to match a dimension such as a profile photo spec or a blog column width. For limits like "under 300KB", the Image Compressor is the better fit.
Good to know when changing format
Transparent PNGs are filled with white when saved as JPEG. WebP and JPEG let you choose a quality, and PNG is saved losslessly. Animated GIFs are saved as their first frame only.
Many photos with the same settings
Convert up to 50 photos with the same settings at once and download them one by one or as a ZIP. Output file names get a "-resized" suffix.
Frequently asked questions
- Does enlarging make the image sharper?
- No. Enlarging only stretches existing pixels, so the result is not sharper and can look blurry.
- Will a portrait photo end up sideways?
- No. The photo's rotation info is applied when it is read, so the result keeps the orientation you see.
- What about HEIC files?
- Convert them to JPG with the HEIC converter first, then use this tool.
