How to join two to twelve photos into one collage, choosing the layout, overall ratio, spacing, background and saved width.
What a collage is good for
A collage is handy for grouping travel photos into one picture, showing several product shots at a glance, or sharing an event. You can combine two to twelve photos.
Steps
1. Add two or more photos to the photo collage tool. Up to 12 photos, 100MB each.
2. Use the up and down buttons in the list to reorder, and remove any you do not want.
3. Under "Layout", choose Grid, Single row or Single column.
4. Under "Overall ratio", choose 1:1, 4:5, 3:4, 4:3, 16:9 or 9:16.
5. Use "Spacing" to set the gaps between photos, and "Background" for the color shown in the gaps.
6. Pick a "Width" of 1080, 1600, 2000 or 3000px, and choose the save format.
7. Press "Save collage" and the file downloads as zerotool-collage.
Tips for a tidy result
- Even if the photos differ in size, each cell is the same size and the photo is cropped around its center to fill it.
- If the subject sits at the edge of a photo, it may be cut off, so try reordering or another ratio.
- A small gap helps the photos stand apart.
