Image Grid Splitter (Instagram Grid)
Split one photo evenly into columns and rows and save every piece as a numbered file at once. Good for a picture that spans your Instagram feed or a tiled banner; the file never leaves your browser.
Split an image into a grid: make a 3×3 Instagram picture
Split a photo evenly into the number of pieces you want and save numbered files as one ZIP.
How to use it
Add a photo, then choose a grid such as 3×3 or type the number of columns and rows yourself. The preview draws the lines it will cut along, and saving produces a ZIP with one file per piece. Columns and rows can each be from 1 to 10.
The number in each file name
The number at the end of each file name is the upload order. The bottom-right piece is number 1 and the top-left piece has the last number. Instagram shows the newest post at the top left, so uploading from number 1 onward rebuilds the original picture. The app’s layout can change, so check before you post.
How it is split, and quality
The photo is not cropped; it is divided evenly on whole-pixel boundaries. Leftover pixels go to the earlier pieces, one pixel each, so piece sizes differ by at most 1px. Every piece copies the original pixels without scaling. For JPG, a lower quality gives a smaller file. Services such as Instagram re-compress what you upload, so a photo with plenty of resolution gives a sharper result.
